Idaho Fitness Academy has an emphasis on individualized personal training, weight loss and fitness goals. Therefore, each client is provided with a unique weight loss program and coaching necessary to carry out these measures effectively.

Idaho Fitness Academy is a high-performance training facility designed by athletes for athletes, and those looking to make a serious commitment to their long-term health. IFA provides athletes with an environment in which they can identify and work toward quantifiable improvements both inside and outside the training facility. With an emphasis on individualized goals and needs, each client is provided with unique programming and the coaching necessary to carry out these measures effectively. Recognized for its no-nonsense, motivating training environment with just the right mix of science and attitude, that’s the goal of Idaho Fitness Academy.



Casey is the owner of Idaho Fitness Academy, with twelve years of experience that involves enthusiasm and an emphasis on preparing the individual competitor for the next level. As the company’s Strength and Conditioning Coach, it is Casey’s goal to make every athlete “elite.” The mission for Casey is to provide well-designed, collaborative strength and conditioning training program based on sound physiological principles. Sport specific focus, experimentally proven methods, safe and productive physical training by means of a periodic plan will be the primary emphasis; with the goal of developing the most mentally and physically prepared athletes in the state of Idaho.

The plan will also include periodized progressive overload with primary emphasis focused on maximizing effort and being the best we can be each day. In order to maximize the physical and mental toughness potential of every student-athlete, the focus must provide the student-athletes with the best motivational and "hands on" strength and conditioning program in the state. Casey has stated repeatedly that “the goal is to have our student athletes take the field or the court healthy and in top physical condition with great effort and the competitive will to win every time they train, practice, and compete. In all areas of strength and conditioning, there is commitment to the principles of character, ethical conduct, integrity and excellence.”

The program philosophy:

  • Develop mental and physical toughness. We will train our athletes to be champions in everything they do. Use sport scientific training methods and a positive but demanding motivational atmosphere for training. The student-athletes will train in a competitive and challenging environment each day with their health and safety as top priority.
  • Provide the student-athletes with a consistent, safe, and productive way of physical training.
  • Devise a system following basic physiological principles of training using a direct, simple coaching approach measuring effort levels daily.
  • Help guide the student-athlete to help reach their potential by setting goals and monitoring progress at all times and where accountability is a constant.
  • All training protocols are designed and implemented with the same underlying structure to ensure cohesion and prevent injury. With the stability of such an umbrella structure, the programs can experience any potential personnel changes without adversely affecting the comprehensive system.

  • Bachelors degree in Exercise science with emphasis in Exercise Physiology

  • 3 Years of Division 1 Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Experience- Boise State (Intern and Graduate Assistant)

Leadership philosophy

Guide athletes to develop the understanding and value of hard work with a process over outcome mentality by safely developing athletes to reduce injury and improve performance.

Training philosophy

  • Ground-based movements that require work done by the entire body. The demands required from most all sports involve the kinetic chain working efficiently and explosively.
    • I will train athletes to become more efficient in their movements and teach them how to create power from those movements.
    • The way that is accomplished is by focusing intently on the technique of each movement prescribed. Anyone can write a good program, but if it is not executed as intended, the work is useless.

Side Note

Training to develop more efficient athletic movement and improved strength should be treated as seriously as a sports practice.

If you don’t practice as hard as you play, the benefits of your training will not be there when you need it the most.
